Who performs the core quality-control activities? *Team involvementA) Geologists responsible for logging fully understand the importance of QA/QC and carry out all control procedures. A designated geologist oversees laboratory batches/results, compiles reports, and has a full understanding of statistical metrics and plots.B) Logging geologists execute the full QA/QC procedure cycle. A senior team specialist prepares reports and understands statistics and plots.C) Logging and QA/QC procedures are handled by separate specialists. There is no deep understanding of statistical indicators. Result reports are prepared by separate specialists.D) All work is performed separately and mechanically without senior oversight. No descriptive statistics, only graphical reporting.

On what parameters are quality-control decisions based? *How QA/QC information is handledA) On graphical materials and statistical parameters (p-values, t-tests, systematic error, random error, etc.)B) On graphical analysis only, using a wide range of plots to refine error aspectsC) On graphical analysis only, using 1–2 plotsD) Work is performed mechanically; analysis is perfunctory

How is quality control organized (standards, blanks, duplicates, laboratory control)? *QA/QC for sampling and laboratoryA) A full QA/QC suite is implemented (CRMs/blanks/duplicates), certificate traceability, analytical protocols, and defined actions for failures.B) QA/QC is partially implemented (e.g., standards and field duplicates) but without a formal response plan.C) QA/QC is episodic; protocols are selective.D) QA/QC is absent.

How are batches with SRM/CRM, blanks (BLK), and duplicates (DUP) organized; is anonymity maintained; and how are they formed? *Control samples and batch acceptance rules.A) There is an insertion plan for SRM/BLK/DUP; control charts are used; samples are anonymous; the sample type is not apparent to the laboratory; continuous oversight of batch formation; control samples can occupy different positions within the batchB) There is an insertion plan for SRM/BLK/DUP; control charts are used; samples are anonymous; the sample type is not apparent to the laboratory; oversight is weaker and insertion occurs automaticallyC) No fixed SRM/BLK/DUP insertion plan and everyone relies on %; control charts are used; samples are pseudo-anonymous (a simple pattern in renaming); the sample type is apparent to the laboratory; oversight is weaker and insertion occurs automaticallyD) No fixed SRM/BLK/DUP insertion plan and everyone relies on %; control charts are used; control samples are inserted only by the laboratory

Does the QC process cover all stages of work? *Representativeness of controlA) QA/QC is clearly regulated at all stages, from mining-face control to analytical control in the laboratory. Regular audits are conductedB) Control is conducted mainly from the core-handling/logging stage through laboratory analytical workC) Partial control during core work and an incomplete set of control samples for laboratory-process controlD) QA/QC is represented by only a few types of control samples

Is twinning used to verify historical/contentious data? *Verification drilling (twinned holes)A) A twin plan exists; spacing is usually ≤5 m; RMA/RDP analysis, t-test; the number of twins is justified by variabilityB) Twins are drilled, but irregularly or without formal statisticsC) Twins are rare; spacings are often >10 mD) Twins are not used

How many control samples are used in the process? *Control of laboratory processesA) 1 type for sampling-process control; 2 types for sample preparation; 3 types for analytical testing controlB) 1 type for sampling-process control; 2 types for sample preparation; 2 types for analytical testing controlC) 1 type for sampling-process control; 1 type for sample preparation; 1 type for analytical testing controlD) 1 type for sampling-process control; 0 for sample preparation; 1 type for analytical testing control
