How formalized are the collection, validation, and updates of the drillhole/trench database? *Sampling data management and drillhole databaseA) There is an approved procedure; both automated and manual integrity checks are applied (collars–downhole survey–intervals), a change log is maintained, and regular audits are conductedB) Validation procedures exist, but data versions and updates are recorded selectivelyC) Checks are irregular; individual files are not always consistentD) There is no single database; no validation is performed

Degree of automation (ingestion/transformation/publishing) *Automation / ETLA) End-to-end automation: scheduler, stable operation, data and rule tests without user interaction; documented, clear rules for releasing new automation pathsB) Core stages are automated; some steps are manualC) Semi-manual scripts prevail; recovery after failure is not standardizedD) Processes are manual (Excel/copy-paste); dependence on specific individuals

Data administrator involvement in users’ routine tasks *Data stewardship / LoadA) Self-service is in place (templates, data marts, FAQ); the administrator focuses on data management and complex cases; routine requests take <20% of timeB) Self-service is partial; 20–50% of time goes to routine (extracts, corrections)C) >50% of the administrator’s time goes to regular extracts/fixes; a growing backlog of ticketsD) The administrator is a bottleneck for most operations; requests via e-mail/messengers; timelines are weakly predictable or unpredictable

Data adaptability (readiness for source/structure changes) *Schema evolution / AdaptabilityA) Schema evolution (adding fields, changing units) is supported without downtime; data contracts and version compatibility are enforced; migrations are documentedB) Schema changes are managed, but short outages are possible; compatibility is not always ensuredC) Source changes often break pipelines; fixes are reactiveD) Any change requires heavy rework; downtime is significant

Process for creating a new data pipeline (from intake to go-live) *Onboarding / New pipelineA) Formal intake: request template, data owner, security/access assessment, refresh SLA, test dataset; pilot in a sandbox, go-live checklistB) A process exists but is inconsistent: some steps are skipped, documentation is incompleteC) Pipelines are built directly in production; documentation is limited; feedback is gathered after the factD) No process; workarounds/side solutions are common

Who performs the core quality-control activities? *Team involvementA) Geologists responsible for logging fully understand the importance of QA/QC and carry out all control procedures. A designated geologist oversees laboratory batches/results, compiles reports, and has a full understanding of statistical metrics and plots.B) Logging geologists execute the full QA/QC procedure cycle. A senior team specialist prepares reports and understands statistics and plots.C) Logging and QA/QC procedures are handled by separate specialists. There is no deep understanding of statistical indicators. Result reports are prepared by separate specialists.D) All work is performed separately and mechanically without senior oversight. No descriptive statistics, only graphical reporting.

On what parameters are quality-control decisions based? *How QA/QC information is handledA) On graphical materials and statistical parameters (p-values, t-tests, systematic error, random error, etc.)B) On graphical analysis only, using a wide range of plots to refine error aspectsC) On graphical analysis only, using 1–2 plotsD) Work is performed mechanically; analysis is perfunctory

How is quality control organized (standards, blanks, duplicates, laboratory control)? *QA/QC for sampling and laboratoryA) A full QA/QC suite is implemented (CRMs/blanks/duplicates), certificate traceability, analytical protocols, and defined actions for failures.B) QA/QC is partially implemented (e.g., standards and field duplicates) but without a formal response plan.C) QA/QC is episodic; protocols are selective.D) QA/QC is absent.

How are batches with SRM/CRM, blanks (BLK), and duplicates (DUP) organized; is anonymity maintained; and how are they formed? *Control samples and batch acceptance rules.A) There is an insertion plan for SRM/BLK/DUP; control charts are used; samples are anonymous; the sample type is not apparent to the laboratory; continuous oversight of batch formation; control samples can occupy different positions within the batchB) There is an insertion plan for SRM/BLK/DUP; control charts are used; samples are anonymous; the sample type is not apparent to the laboratory; oversight is weaker and insertion occurs automaticallyC) No fixed SRM/BLK/DUP insertion plan and everyone relies on %; control charts are used; samples are pseudo-anonymous (a simple pattern in renaming); the sample type is apparent to the laboratory; oversight is weaker and insertion occurs automaticallyD) No fixed SRM/BLK/DUP insertion plan and everyone relies on %; control charts are used; control samples are inserted only by the laboratory

Does the QC process cover all stages of work? *Representativeness of controlA) QA/QC is clearly regulated at all stages, from mining-face control to analytical control in the laboratory. Regular audits are conductedB) Control is conducted mainly from the core-handling/logging stage through laboratory analytical workC) Partial control during core work and an incomplete set of control samples for laboratory-process controlD) QA/QC is represented by only a few types of control samples

Is twinning used to verify historical/contentious data? *Verification drilling (twinned holes)A) A twin plan exists; spacing is usually ≤5 m; RMA/RDP analysis, t-test; the number of twins is justified by variabilityB) Twins are drilled, but irregularly or without formal statisticsC) Twins are rare; spacings are often >10 mD) Twins are not used

How many control samples are used in the process? *Control of laboratory processesA) 1 type for sampling-process control; 2 types for sample preparation; 3 types for analytical testing controlB) 1 type for sampling-process control; 2 types for sample preparation; 2 types for analytical testing controlC) 1 type for sampling-process control; 1 type for sample preparation; 1 type for analytical testing controlD) 1 type for sampling-process control; 0 for sample preparation; 1 type for analytical testing control

Is there a reporting regulation with a defined format? *Department reporting cycleA) There is a standardized reporting format with monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reportsB) There is a standardized format and reporting is conducted as semi-annual and annual reportsC) Reports are published only upon completion of a geological work cycleD) There is no separate report; QA/QC data appear only in chapters of other reports

How quickly are decisions implemented based on QC results? *TimelineA) There is an action plan for unsatisfactory results, and the responsible staff member has sufficient tools to ensure repeat procedures within 1–3 days after a problem is detectedB) Corrective procedures are carried out based on monthly reviews of results, and the specialist has a full set of necessary toolsC) Corrective procedures are performed based on quarterly reviews only at the reporting stageD) Control procedures are performed after management reviews the reports, and the tools used do not allow rapid preparation of the required information

How often and what kind of delays occur in report preparation? *Broken deadlinesA) Delays are minimal: annual and semi-annual reports are prepared in less than half a month, and the others within 1–3 daysB) Delays occur for annual and semi-annual reports of more than a month; other reports are prepared within up to 1 weekC) Delays are regular at all reporting levels, exceeding deadlines by no more than 30%.D) Delays are regular, with additional wait time exceeding deadlines by 80–100%
